Commitees

Communications
The communications committee exists to support the promotion of Creative Fresno activities and accomplishments, in order to increase awareness of the organization and its purpose throughout the community.
Membership on this committee is informal: by helping to spread the word about Blenders, MindHub, the MindForum series or any topic relevant to Creative Fresno's mission (with a mention of the organization, of course), you're helping out.

For many activities, the communications committee is also responsible for directly notifying local media.
Government Relations
The committee compromise of board and general members would be the primary liaison between CF and municipalities and elected officials. It coordinates activities with the Board on any advocacy/policy work that affects Fresno's creative economy.Along with communicating Creative Fresno’s core values to various community councils, boards and commissions; one of the specific duties assigned of the committee to be the keeper of the Mayor's CEC Report.
Membership
Retain and Increase membership in CF by meeting and greeting members and prospective members at CF functions such as the monthly Blenders.
At the Blender new members are asked to fill a questionnaire and for the membership fee. Keeping the CF members roster database up to date is needed monthly. The membership committee is often the first person who meets a prospective member and answers the most common questions a prospective member may have about CF purpose.
The membership committee is looking for persons who are outgoing and like talking with other people. Anyone with new ideas for increasing membership are also asked to join.A committee member would not have to be at all CF functions to be helpful. If you are interested in helping the membership committee please ask for Andy Hansen-Smith or email at andy.hansen-smith@creativefresno.com.
Blender
The Blenders, which take place the Fridays after Art Hop, are Creative Fresno's social mixers of professionals, artists and entrepreneurs whose exchange of ideas are an effort to revitalize the urban life and landscape of Fresno.
The Blender committee members communicate with one another via email. Duties involved in organizing a Blender include brainstorming for possible locations, and then call on a local business or establishment and inform them about Creative Fresno and its mission.
Once a business agrees to be a host, the Blender is promoted via an e-mail blast, on MindHub and FresnoFamous. At the Blender, complimentary appetizers are provided and prizes are raffled.Anyone interested in joining the Blender Committee or has any ideas or suggestions for future Blenders can contact any CF board member or Albert Cano at acano25@comcast.net.
Executive Committee
The executive committee are the four officers of the board of directors. Their primary focus is to fulfill their individual functions as Board Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. Additionally the executive team provides leadership and functions as the fundraising committee.
In order to move Creative Fresno forward, fundraising and sustainability will become a primary focus. If you are interested in helping with fundraising, please contact the board chair.
